SIZE

Our standard size is just under 12 feet (allowing for seams and hemming). This labyrinth is designed small enough to be used at home or in a classroom. There is no option for making this a different size, other than contracting with us to make a custom design for you. It comes in a single piece that weighs under 10 pounds and can be carried under one's arm.

There is only one pattern for the Personal Labyrinth, originated by me (Robert Ferré). At the studio wecall this the "Heart of Chartres" because the pattern consists of the five, inner, left-side paths of the Chartres pattern, which are then mirrored on the right side. We have stylized the petals and lunations, since this isn't a direct copy of Chartres. Even then, the proportions are similar. In each quadrant of the Chartres pattern there are seven turns and an average of 28 lunations (7 x 4 = 28). In the Personal Labyrinth, each quadrant has three turns and 12 lunations (3 x 4 = 12).

PERIMETER SHAPE

Our standard perimeter for the Personal Labyrinth is octagonal, as shown. It is possible, however, to make a different shape for the perimeter if you have some reason to require that.

We accept MasterCard and Visa. If you email your order, please send your card number in the following format, with no spaces or dashes between numbers: Start with three zeros, then the 16 numbers of the credit card, then the expiration date as four digits (MMYY) plus three zeros at the end. If your credit card number were all X's, for example, and the expiration date is YY of ZZ, you would send the following number: 000XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXYYZZ000.

This method of cloaking is intended to defeat any robots that are searching for 16-digit credit card numbers. Actually, the danger of using a credit card over the Internet doesn't come from the moment it is being sent. It comes from leaving it on the host computer and then having someone hack into the computer and steal the numbers. When we receive your order by email, we print out a paper copy and then delete the email. It doesn't stay in our system. If you feel more comfortable with faxing us the order, please do.
