The actual width depends on whether (and to what extent) you wish to enlarge the center. The larger the center, the wider the labyrinth becomes. In the classical pattern, the center is just the end of the path. Therefore, it is one path-width in diameter. We usually make the center two path-widths, so there is room for more than one person. But we can make it three or even more path-widths. Note that the Santa Rosa and Petite Chartres labyrinths are approximately the same size, and their circular centers are proportionally larger than the classic labyrinth.
DESIGN and VARIATIONS
The above photo has the center expanded to two path widths. Since there are seven circuits, we can paint the lines the seven rainbow colors. Here are a few other possible variations
Top: The cross pattern is replaced by a diamond shape. It makes a convenient altar space.
Second: The left side lowered to make the pattern symmetrical across the bottom.
Third: Handedness refers tot he direction of the first turn. The
examples are mostly left-handed, because that's what most people prefer.
Any of these variations can also be made in right-handed versions. Shown
here is a right-handed classical 7-circuit design.
Fourth: The classical labyrinth is mushroom-shaped, but it can also be made round, as illustrated here. Round makes a larger center.

Our usual shape is an unequal octagon (8 sides). It is unequal because the labyrinth isn't the same height as width (unless it is round). You can request a different perimeter shape if you desire.

If you email your order, please send your card number in the following format, with no spaces or dashes between numbers: Start with three zeros, then the 16 numbers of the credit card, then the expiration date as four digits (MMYY) plus three zeros at the end. If your credit card number were all X's, for example, and the expiration date is YY of ZZ, you would send the following number: 000XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXYYZZ000.

Actually, the danger of using a credit card over the Internet doesn't come from the moment it is being sent.
